Heartsaver CPR, First Aid, & AED Training
All CPR and First Aid students will learn to recognize a life threatening emergency, provide CPR to an adult, child, and infant as well as use an AED and how to respond if there is an airway obstruction or choking. Students will also learn the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Preparation is the key to creating an effective First Aid Plan. Basic elements of what to include in a First Aid Plan will be explored in the first aid section of this course. This segment also includes what safety hazards to look for to keep the first aid responder safe plus an entire section on Primary and Secondary assessment of the injured casualty.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP)
In this classroom-based course, healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. Busy healthcare professionals who need a flexible training option can choose this course for first-time or renewal certification.
